Upcoming Tower Crane Works on Chapter London Bridge

Throughout August and September, we will be erecting two tower cranes and removing one. These are specialist works managed by a small team of experienced and competent professionals. To comply with safety, statutory and road network requirements, these works must be undertaken over weekends and in some cases will require road closures as per the below bullet points and attached mark-up.

  • Erection of TC2. 12th and 13th August. Road closure required on Weston Street.
  • Dismantle of TC1. 2nd and 3rd September. No road closure required.
  • Erection of TC1a. 9th and 10th September. Road closure on St Thomas Street.

Please note that these dates are subject to change due to inclement weather, the Local Authority or TFL requirements and we will notify you accordingly. Permitted hours for these works under our Section 60 license are 08:00 to 18:00 on Saturday and 09:00 to 18:00 Sunday. The works will be visible due to the nature of large lifts; however, noise and vibration will be greatly reduced in comparison to regular works, limited to traffic movements and the intermittent manual driving in of pins as mast sections are mechanically fixed.

Thank you for your continued patience with our on-going works.
