CGI rendering of a glass building with a green park

Bermondsey Yards is a carefully coordinated campus of buildings designed to respond to the unique character of Bermondsey Street. It is a beacon of sustainable architecture and placemaking that will drive economic growth and job creation whilst supplementing the area’s local character and culture for residents and visitors alike.

The vision for Bermondsey Yards is an elegant and measured transition from the intimate historic character of Bermondsey Street to the contemporary character and scale of London Bridge and The Shard Quarter.

The development comprises 170,000 sq ft of workspace and retail. It will see the refurbishment and extension of the historic 19th Century Vinegar Yard Warehouse, the demolition of 42-44 Bermondsey Street and the retention and extension of 40 Bermondsey Street to form two buildings.

The project will also deliver retail, affordable workspace and create over 900 jobs and has ambitious sustainability concepts to exceed the London Plan’s Carbon Reduction Targets and achieve BREEAM Outstanding rating. It includes features like extensive roof garden terraces on most upper floors, smart tech throughout, and a highly walkable design.
